The petitioners state that they were appointed on provisional basis from among the eligible candidates enlisted by the Employment Exchange against permanent vacancies of junior clerks. According to the petitioners, permanent employees have not so far been advised by the PSC. When the 3rd respondent proposed to terminate the petitioners, they have submitted Ext.P2 representation before the 2nd respondent seeking intervention. Their prayer in this writ petition is to direct the 2nd respondent to take up Exhibit-P2 and pass appropriate orders on the same.

Heard the learned Government Pleader.

In view of the limited prayer sought by the petitioners, notice to the party respondents are dispensed with.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances and the submissions made across the Bar, this writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to take up Exhibit-P2 and take a decision with notice to the petitioners as well as the affected parties, expeditiously, at any rate, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this
