JUDGMENT
The petitioner is the holder of a regular permit to operate service on the route Kozhikode - Palakkad. The petitioner filed an application for renewal of permit and the same is pending consideration. In order to maintain the service, the petitioner submitted Ext.P2 application for temporary permit under Section 87 (1)(d) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. His grievance is that his application has not been taken up and considered to date. His prayer in this writ petition is to direct expeditious consideration of Ext.P2.
made across the bar, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to take up Ext.P2 application and take appropriate decision as per procedure and in consonance with law, with notice to the petitioner expeditiously, at any rate, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
