Election Commissioner at Ernakulam. Further to allay any apprehensions of the parties concerned, more particularly, respondents 1 & 2, it is ordered that the City Police Commissioner, Kochi will ensure that necessary police aid is given to the 3rd respondent-Election Commissioner and 4th respondent-Returning Officer for ensuring the orderly smooth and peaceful conduct of the election, as already notified hereinabove. As and when the 3rd respondent-Election Commissioner submits a written request in that regard to the City Police Commissioner, Kochi, with copy to the Station House Officer of Central Police Station, Ernakulam (which appears to be the jurisdictional Station House Office concerned), the City Police Commissioner, Kochi will ensure that necessary police aid is given as aforestated, for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the election. Sri.Saigi Jacob Palatty, learned Sr.Government Pleader appearing for the 5th respondent-State will ensure that a copy of this order is furnished to the City Police Commissioner, Kochi, as well as the Station House Officer, Central Police Station, Ernakulam, for necessary information and further action. Further to allay any possible apprehensions of respondents 1 & 2, it is ordered that the 1st respondent will be also at liberty to appoint any observer, in respect of the conduct of the abovesaid election.
