JUDGMENT

Petitioner is a minor represented by her mother

and natural guardian. Petitioner is studying in

class XII in the 3^rd respondent school, which is affiliated to the 1^st respondent. Petitioner has passed the Secondary School Examination in the year 2017 from the 3^rd respondent school. However in the certificate issued by the CBSE, a mistake in respect

of the name of the mother of the petitioner has crept and therefore seeking correction, now petitioner has submitted Ext.P5 before the 3^rd respondent school, which is to be forwarded to the additional 5^th respondent that is the Regional Officer, Thiruvananthapuram. According to the petitioner in Ext.P2 Birth Certificate name of the mother is shown correctly. Therefore seeks

appropriate directions.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel

appearing for respondent Nos.1,2 and 5, there will

be a direction to the 3^rd respondent to forward Ext.P5 application to the additional 5^th respondent at the earliest possible and at any rate, within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, and on receipt of the same, additional 5^th respondent shall finalise the application within a further period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the application and do the necessary taking into account Ext.P2 Birth Certificate. The 3^rd respondent school is also directed to carry out necessary correction in the school records and forward the same to the additional 5^th respondent.
