The petitioners, who are employees of KSRTC holding different posts in various depots, have filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to sanction and disburse the petitioners the amount on account of Provident Fund loans applied by them within a time frame as may be stipulated by this Court. In paragraph 2 of the writ petition, the petitioners have stated that they have applied for Provident Fund loans on different dates, as detailed in the said paragraph.

Having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and also the learned Standing Counsel for KSRTC, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to sanction eligible Provident Fund loan amount due to the petitioners and disburse such amount through concerned Unit Officer. Necessary orders in this regard shall be passed, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment.
