JUDGMENT
The petitioner, who is the registered owner of a stage carriage bearing registration No.KL-16/B-810, has moved Ext.P2 application before the respondent, seeking substitute temporary permit on the route Varkala Temple – Kundara in the vacancy of another stage carriage bearing registration No.KL-02/AB-7020. The petitioner has moved this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P2 application, within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.

Having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P2 application made by the petitioner for substitute temporary permit, strictly in accordance with the law, with notice to the petitioner and after affording him an opportunity of being heard, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment.
