The main prayer in this Writ Petition (Civil) is as follows:

“i) Issue a writ of mandamus or any appropriate writ order or direction, directing the 1^st Respondent to consider and dispose of SM No.2499/2018 pending before the 1^st Respondent, within a time frame fixed by the Hon'ble Court.”

Heard Sri. T.G. Rajendran, the learned counsel appearing

for the petitioners and Smt. A.C. Vidhya, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances as disclosed in this Writ Petition (Civil), it is ordered in the interest of justice that the Land Tribunal concerned will take all reasonable endeavours possible under the circumstances to ensure the early consideration and disposal of Suo Motu proceedings, S.M. No.2499/2018 without much delay and, after reasonable opportunity of being heard to the petitioners and other affected parties, within a period of 18 months from the date of completion of service of notice on all the affected parties. The petitioners may produce the certified copy of this
