J U D G M E N T
The petitioners, who retired from service while working as drivers in Pala depot in KSRTC in 31.5.2017, are before this Court in this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to sanction and disburse the retirement benefits such as arrears of monthly pension, commuted value of pension, DCRG, Staff welfare fund and terminal leave surrender salary admissible to the petitioners. They have also sought for other consequential reliefs.

Having considered the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and also the learned Standing Counsel for the KSRTC, representing the respondents, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to sanction and disburse all admissible pension and other pensionary benefits payable to the petitioners, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period of six weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this judgment, if there is no other legal impediment standing in the way.
