JUDGMENT

According to the petitioner, petitioner is the holder of a gun license, as per Ext.P1. The license was due to expire on 02.03.2013 and thereupon, petitioner has submitted Ext.P2 application for renewal of the gun license on 02.02.2013, which is pending consideration before the first respondent. The sole grievance highlighted by the petitioner is non-consideration of the application inspite of the pendency for the past more than seven years.

Learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Senior Government Pleader, there will be a direction to the first respondent to consider Ext.P2 application submitted by the petitioner, seeking renewal of the gun license, at the earliest possible time, and at any rate,
