JUDGMENT
The petitioner, who is a driver by profession,
has filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of certiorari to quash Ext.P3 order dated 06.02.2018
of the Additional Licensing Authority, Thrissur, whereby his driving license bearing No.8/5191/2012 stands suspended for a period of one year from 06.02.2018. By Ext.P4 order dated 10.04.2018 issued by the Deputy Transport Commissioner, Central Zone, Thrissur, who is the appellate authority, under Section 19(3) of the Motor
Vehicles Act, 1988, the period of suspension was reduced to nine months, i.e., for the period from 06.02.2018 to 05.11.2018.

consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that since the period of suspension will be over by 05.11.2018, this writ petition may be dismissed as infructuous.
