JUDGMENT

The petitioner seeks appropriate direction in this writ petition to the second respondent to impound the passport of the third respondent. To justify the approach to this Court seeking the aforesaid relief, it is pointed out by the petitioner that the third respondent is involved in several criminal cases including cases instituted by the father of the petitioner.

The learned Assistant Solicitor General of India,

on instructions, submits that proceedings have already been initiated against the third respondent for impounding his passport on the complaints preferred by the petitioner and others.

In the light of the submission made by the learned Assistant Solicitor General of India, the writ petition is closed with a direction to the second respondent to complete the proceedings already initiated in accordance with the provisions contained in the Passports Act.
