The petitioner filed the above writ petition, against

impounding of the passport.

The 1^st respondent has filed a statement, which indicates that the petitioner was issued with a passport bearing No.H3218749, on the basis of clear police verification report. On the basis of the complaint received against the petitioner that the petitioner is involved in a crime, the complaint letter was forwarded to the District Police Chief and the police report revealed that the petitioner is involved in a crime, and the case is pending trial before the JFCM, Adoor and the 1^st respondent impounded the passport. In such circumstance, the petitioner would have to obtain a permission

from the JFCM, before whom the case is pending for trial, for issuance of a short validity passport.

The writ petition hence would stand dismissed,
