JUDGMENT

The petitioner is aggrieved with Ext.P7 order. Ext.P7 is

¶41

the refusal of the application for renewal of license issued by the Additional District Magistrate. The petitioner submits that there is absolutely no reason stated in Ext.P7 for refusal. However a reading would indicate that the licensing authority had obtained report of the District Police Chief which was adverse insofar as the petitioner, having no threat to his life. The petitioner also does not have an allegation in the writ petition that his life or limb is under threat. The only contention is that the petitioner is a business man and has enemies in the business field. The petitioner submits that the petitioner has been carrying on the license without violation of any of the conditions and the renewal has to be granted.

In any event, since the petitioner has an appellate

remedy, it is for the petitioner to avail of that. The writ petition is closed leaving open that remedy.
