The learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner
submits that the petitioner had been seeking promotion to the post of Statistical Assistant. The petitioner is said to have been promoted in the year 2007, while the writ petition was pending. The petitioner is also said to have retired from service. Nothing survives in the writ petition. Writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
