J U D G M E N T
Petitioners applied for National Oldage Pension in
compliance with the directions issued by the 2nd respondent, petitioner submitted income certificate issued by the 3rd respondent. However, 2nd respondent has not initiated any action to sanction pension to the petitioners, and the same is being protracted unnecessarily. It is also contented that, the persons who have submitted applications after petitioners, were provided with the pension. It is in this background, seeking appropriate directions, this writ petition is filed.

learned Government Pleader on instruction submitted that an amount of Rs.17,000/- was paid to the petitioner.
However, it is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioners, the said amount is not representing the entire amount due to the petitioner including that of arrears. I think, since the subject issue is relating to the payment of oldage pension, it is only appropriate that, additional 4th respondent to take a decision in the matter. Therefore, there will be a direction to the 4th respondent to take on board the applications submitted by the petitioners pertaining to Exts.P1 and P2 receipts issued by the 2nd respondent Municipality, within a month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
Writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
