State and others for an enquiry in relation to the illegal activities of the defendant, copies of a few complaints/representations sent by the plaintiff against the defendant to the Director General of Police and others as to the illegal activities of the defendant, copies of a few communications received by the plaintiff from the Government concerning the complaints/representations sent by the plaintiff, copies of a few notices issued by the plaintiff to the defendant and its replies etc. As noted above, the only issue arose for consideration in the suit from which this second appeal arises is as to the genuineness of Ext.A1 agreement for sale. Section 5 of the Evidence Act permits parties to a litigation to adduce evidence only to establish the existence or non-existence of the facts in issue and facts which are declared to be relevant as provided for in Chapter II of the Evidence Act. The documents produced by the plaintiff, according to me, do not establish the fact in issue or facts which are relevant in the context of deciding the fact in issue. In other words, the said documents, even if accepted in evidence, would not improve the case of the
