The petitioner is the 3^rd accused in Crime No.2830/2015 of Kottiyam Police Station for offences punishable under Sections 364and 34 IPC.

The de facto complainant alleged that he was invited by one of his friend to have gambling at Kollam whereupon the de facto complainant herein proceeded from Malappuram to Kollam. They took room in a hotel and played cards. It is stated that in the course of the above process there was a scramble and altercation and he was manhandled by some of the accused. They threatened the wife of the de facto complainant that her husband would be killed if Rs.25 lakhs was not paid as ransom. It is stated that the wife arranged the money and in the meanwhile suspecting that they have informed the Police, accused who were holding the de facto complainant for ransom escaped from the spot.

The main allegation against the petitioner

herein is that the vehicle which was involved in the alleged offence belonged to the petitioner herein. No specific direct overtact is attributed to the petitioner herein. Having regard to this fact, I am inclined to grant bail to the petitioner subject to the following conditions:

(a) Petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer within ten days from today and shall undergo interrogation. Thereafter, if he is proposed to be arrested, he shall be released on bail on he executing a bond for a sum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only) with two sureties for the like sum each.

(b) He shall not threaten, coerce or intimidate the de facto complainant or his witnesses.

(c ) He shall not get involved in any other identical offences.

(d) He shall appear before the Investigation
