This writ petition involves an issue with regard to selection to the post of Assistant Grade -II in the respondent University. In a connected writ petition namely W.P.(C).No.11026 of 2015, this Court had by an order dated 19.062015, directed the respondent University to prepare a short list based on a revised valuation, that was directed to be done by this Court through an earlier order dated 04.06.2015. The respondent University was also directed to call those persons who were included in the short list, and who were not qualified in the interview pursuant to the earlier short list that was prepared by the University, for the interview. It is stated by counsel for the respondent University that, the earlier short list was prepared based on the cut-off prescribed of 34.67 marks for the main list, and pursuant to the revised valuation, almost 1227 persons would qualify for being called for the interview, as they have secured 34.67 marks.
