JUDGMENT

The petitioner along with her brother and sister purchased a

parcel of land as per the original of Ext.P1 sale deed dated 22.3.2003 registered as document No.352/03 of SRO, Thoonneri. They thereafter submitted an application before the Village Officer for effecting mutation in the revenue records. When no action was taken on that request, the petitioner filed Ext.P3 representation dated 20.2.2012 before the Tahsildar, Vatakara. The Tahsildar thereupon sent Ext.P4 letter dated 8.5.2013 to the petitioner calling upon her to produce the document referred to therein. It is stated that though the petitioner produced a copy of the document called for in Ext.P4 and she was also asked to appear before the Tahsildar on 5.8.2013 till date, orders have not been passed on the application filed by the petitioner and others under the Transfer of Registry Rules. In this writ petition the petitioner prays for an order directing the first respondent Tahsildar to pass orders on the application filed by her and her brother and sister under the Transfer of Registry Rules and to receive land tax from them in

respect of the lands covered by Ext.P1 sale deed.

When the writ petition came up for hearing today, Smt.Anitha Ravindran, learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted on instructions that the Tahsildar, Vatakara will consider the application submitted by the petitioner under the Transfer of Registry Rules and take an appropriate decision thereon expeditiously.

In such circumstances, I dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the first respondent to take up for consideration the application submitted by the petitioner and others under the Transfer of Registry Rules and pass appropriate orders thereon, expeditiously and in any event within an outer limit of two months from the date on which the petitioner produces a certified copy of this judgment along with a copy of the writ petition complete in all aspects before him.
