The matter relates to Pattazhi P.D. Devaswom.
Sanction is sought for the replacement of Ponnin Thirumudi of the temple. It is reported that it has got great religious importance among the devotees and it is worshipped with the same reverence as the Deity on special occasions. Based on the report of the Thiruvabharanam Commissioner, the learned Ombudsman has suggested that sufficient steps will have to be taken by the Board to obtain the Devahitham in the light of the opinion of the Thanthri. It is also stated that the present Thirumudi can be used for a maximum period of two or three years only.

submitted that the Devaswom Commissioner will take necessary steps in the matter. We, therefore, direct the Devaswom Commissioner to take a proper decision in the matter and speedy action will be taken to execute the work also, if permitted.
