Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

This petition is filed complaining that the respondent has disobeyed the directions in the judgment of this Court in WP (C) No. 16203/12. In that judgment, this Court directed the respondent to pass orders on the applications made by the petitioners under Section 28(A) of the Land Acquisition Act.

On instructions, learned Government Pleader submitted that, in compliance with the directions of this Court, in order to pass orders on the applications filed, respondent issued notice to the petitioners and that only five among them appeared. Therefore, she contends that it was the non co-operation of the petitioners that led to the delay in passing orders.

If as stated by the learned Government Pleader, petitioners have not responded to the notices issued by the respondent, it is unnecessary for the respondent to keep the matter pending. Therefore, the respondent will pass orders in

compliance with the direction of this Court without awaiting for the petitioners to turn up. This process shall be completed within four weeks of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
