O R D E R

Petitioner is the 6^th accused in Crime No.1786

¶22

of 2012 of Thampanoor Police Station for the offences punishable under Sections 120(B), 408, 420 and 34 of IPC.

The case is that accused Nos.1 and 2 are

working in the Thiruvananthapuram Service Co-operative Bank pledged spurious gold ornaments in the name of the petitioner and others and collected large amount of money.

Learned counsel submits that accused Nos. 1 and 2 are already released on bail. It is also submitted

that signature of the petitioner has been forged by the other accused.

¶27

Learned Public Prosecutor submitted that whether signatures (allegedly) of the petitioner are genuine or forged is under investigation .

Having regard to the circumstances above stated, request for anticipatory bail cannot be allowed.

But, I am inclined to grant time to the petitioner to surrender in the Court concerned and seek regular bail.

Resultantly, the application is disposed of as

Petitioner is granted one month's time from

this day to appear before the concerned Court and Seek regular bail.

¶35

If during the said period of one month, the petitioner is arrested by the Thampanoor Police in connection with Crime No.1786 of 2012 he shall be released during the said period of one month on his executing bond for Rs.25,000/-(Rupees twenty five thousand only) with two sureties each for the like sum each before the investigating officer.

Petitioner shall appear before the investigating officer on all Saturdays between 10.00 am and 12.00 pm and on other days as directed by the investigating officer during the said period of one month.

It is open to the investigating officer if

otherwise he is entitled to collect specimen handwriting/signature of the petitioner or interrogate him as circumstances warranted.

It is also open to the investigating officer to

move appropriate application for Police custody of the petitioner if circumstances required that, at the appropriate stage.
