J U D G M E N T

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned standing counsel for the respondents. The petitioners have filed this writ petition with the following prayers:

“i) issue a writ of mandamus or writ of similar nature or order or direction commanding the respondents to grant higher grade and to disburse consequential benefits to the petitioners on account of their completion of 25 years of service forthwith;

¶64

ii) issue a writ of mandamus or writ of similar nature or order or direction commanding 1^st respondent to consider Exhibits-P3 to P13 representations and to pass appropriate orders sanctioning higher grade on completion of 25 years of service and disbursing the consequential benefits to the petitioners forthwith”

2.Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, I dispose of this writ petition with direction to the 1st respondent to consider Exts.P3 to P13 representations of the petitioners and dispose of them, after giving the petitioners an opportunity of being heard , within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
