JUDGMENT

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent.

This writ petition is filed for a direction to call for the records leading to this case and issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to grant grade promotion to the petitioners with retrospective effect from the date of attaining 25 years of service and disburse all consequential benefits with arrears.

Without expressing any oipinon on the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P3 representation as early as possible, at any rate, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after affording the petitioner an opportunity of being heard. The respondent is also directed to release all eligible consequential benefits with arrears to the petitioner in the meantime.

Writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
