J U D G M E N T

The writ petition is filed for a direction directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P3 representation and for other incidental reliefs.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and

learned Government Pleader.

The petitioner is an association of Private Stage Carriage Operators in Palakad District. It is submitted that due to accidents caused by the stage carriage in the town bus stand, Government directed an agency to submit a report suggesting solutions to the traffic problems in Kerala. Relevant page of the report of the agency relating to Palakkad Town Bus Stand is produced as Ext.P1. It is recommended in Ext.P1 report among other things that bus operation from Town Stand can possibly be discontinued and the space available may be marked for offstreet parking of the central area. The grievance of the petitioner is that in spite of Ext.P1 report, the authorities are granting

permits and due to the heavy traffic accidents are caused regularly. The petitioner also produced copy of the news reported in the Mathrubhumi daily dated 31.5.2012 as Ext.P2. In the circumstance, the petitioner submitted Ext.P3 representation requesting the authorities to implement Ext.P1 report. Ext.P3 is pending consideration before the respondent.

In the facts and circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P3 representation within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner and other affected parties, if any.
