JUDGMENT

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the 2^nd respondent to register stage carriage bearing registration No. KL- 13/J 7117 owned by the petitioner under the scheme, to accept welfare contribution of the vehicle from March 2011 onwards without insisting payment of contribution towards the scheme prior to 3/2011 and for a direction directing the 2^nd respondent to issue clearance certificate of stage carriage No.KL-13/J 7117 without insisting the arrears of Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund payable by the 3^rd respondent.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the 2^nd respondent.

When the matter was taken up for consideration today, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is willing to pay the entire dues in installments and requests this Court to permit him to pay the amount in easy installments. The learned standing counsel for the 2^nd respondent on instructions submits that Rs.61,950/-(Rupees Sixty one thousand Nine

hundred and fifty only) is the amount due in respect of the stage carriage KL-13/J 7117.

In the said facts and circumstance, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2^nd respondent to issue clearance certificate to stage carriage No. KL-13/J 7117 on payment of Rs. 20,000/-(Rupees Twenty thousand only) subject to a further condition that the petitioner shall remit the balance amount due in four equal monthly installments commencing from the month of January 2013. The monthly installments shall be paid on or before 5^th of every month.
