JUDGMENT

The petitioner is a resident of the Kalpetta Municipality in Wayanad district. He is an auto driver and the registered owner of an autorickshaw bearing registration No: KL-12/A/7526. The petitioner has sought for the shifting of his halt permit to his place of residence, Kalpetta. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's halting place was changed by the respondents without any notice to him. Therefore, he has sought for a change of his present halting place. The petitioner complains that no orders have been passed thereon till date. According to the petitioner, Ext.P7 representation submitted by the petitioner to the Regional Transport Officer is pending. He seeks the issue of a direction to consider and dispose of Ext.P7.

I have heard the learned Govt. Pleader also.

In view of the limited relief that is sought, I am satisfied that this writ petition itself can be disposed of.

This writ petition is accordingly disposed of directing the second respondent to consider Ext.P7 representation submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months of the date of receipt of a copy of this
