JUDGMENT

Petitioner has approached this Court complaining that respondents 2 to 5 blocked the canals on the northern, southern and western sides of their property and that as a result, his residential property having 96.5 cents comprised in Sy.17/8 of Cheranallore Panchayat, is inundated with rain water. It is his case that he made Exts.P3 and P7 complaints to the first respondent. It is also stated that Ext.P4 report of the member of the Panchayat and Ext.P5 resolution passed by the Panchayat Committee show that, the complaint to be genuine. In spite of all the above, no action has been taken by the Panchayat to redress his grievance and therefore, this writ petition is filed.

Evidently therefore, the grievance of the petitioner is regarding the alleged inaction on the part of the first respondent on Exts.P3 and P7 complaints made by him.

The grievance being the above, I direct the first respondent to take appropriate action on the complaints made by the petitioner which shall be with notice to the respondents also. A decision on the complaint shall be taken as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within four weeks of production of a copy of this judgment along with a copy of the writ petition.

Writ petition is disposed of as above.
