Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader and the learned Assistant Solicitor General.

The petitioner is the widow of late K. Vasudevan Pillai who was a freedom freighter. She is getting pension from the State of Kerala and has applied to the Central Government for grant of Swatantrata Sainik Samman Pension (Central Freedom Fighters Pension). The Central Government has not yet sanctioned the pension since the application was not in proper form. If the petitioner submits an application before the authorities concerned in proper form within three weeks from today along with a copy of this judgment, the same shall be forwarded to the Central Government within one month from the date of receipt of the application. The Central Government shall accord approval to the same and disburse the pensionary benefits in favour of the petitioner within three months from the date of receipt of recommendation from the State Government.
