JUDGMENT
The father of the petitioner who was travelling as a pillion rider on a scooter was knocked down by a bus belonging to the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation. He succumbed to his injuries. Alleging that the accident was caused due to the rash and negligent driving of the bus, the petitioner filed O.P.(MV) No.1195/1996 before the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Kollam. The Tribunal has awarded an amount of Rs.1,86,000/- as compensation. The petitioner has filed E.P.No.29/2009 for recovery of the award amount. However, the petitioner complains that she has not been paid the said amount till date.
In view of the above submission, this Writ petition is disposed of recording the above submission and directing the respondent to pay to the petitioner the entire award amount due in O.P.(MV) No.1195/1996 of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Kollam within a period of three months.
