Shobhana Vs the Managing Director

The petitioner is the widow of a late employee of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation who died due to brain tumor while in service. The petitioner has approached the 2^nd respondent for terminal benefits and family pension. The petitioner's grievance is that the same is not being considered by the respondents. Ext. P3 is the representation filed by the petitioner in this regard. The petitioner seeks a direction to the 1^st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext. P3 expeditiously.

I have heard the learned standing counsel for the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation also.

Having heard both sides, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the 1^st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext. P3 as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner.
