Petitioners approached this Court while functioning as Finance Officers Higher Grade, aggrieved by the delay in promotion being effected to the post of Senior Finance Officers. Subsequently during the pendency of the Writ Petition, Ext.P6 order has been passed, promoted them as Senior Finance Officers. The only issue which survives for consideration, according to the petitioners is their claim for promotion as Senior Finance Officers with effect from an earlier date. Along with Exts.P2 and P4 representations, petitioners may file supplementary representation claiming such benefits and if it is so done within one month from today, Government shall look into the same and take appropriate action, within two months thereafter. Government shall take into account, any relevant orders also in this regard.
