In this writ petition, the petitioner is facing proceedings under

the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets & Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002. When the writ petition came up for admission on 18.3.2008 it was adjourned with a direction to the Standing Counsel to get instructions in the matter and on condition that the petitioner remits Rs.1.5 lakhs, the status quo was also directed to be maintained. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already remitted Rs.1.5 lakhs by now.

What is now sought for by the petitioner is that the bank may consider the petitioner's request for one time settlement, for which the petitioner has submitted Ext. P5 before the 3^rd respondent. Since Rs.15 lakhs has already been paid, I feel this relief should be granted. If as submitted by the petitioner, Ext. P5 has been received, the 3^rd respondent shall consider the same and pass orders thereon.

This shall be done by the 3^rd respondent within 4 weeks of production of a copy of this judgment. Petitioner shall produce a copy of this judgment before the 3^rd respondent for compliance. It is also directed that until orders are passed as above, the order of status quo passed by this Court on 18.3.2008 will continue.
