The connected revision viz., C.R.P. No. 2356 of 2001 was disposed of by order dated 08.02.2008. The very same contentions which are raised in this Revision were raised in C.R.P.No. 2356 of 2001. The present Revision is filed by one of the legal representatives of the assessee. C.R.P.No. 2356 of 2001 was filed by another legal representative of the assessee. No point other than the point involved in C.R.P.No. 2356 of 2001 is involved in the present Revision. The same order is under challenge in both the Revisions.
Accordingly, I confirm the order passed by the Taluk Land Board. However, taking an extreme lenient view in the matter, I am inclined to grant an opportunity to the petitioner to file a fresh option statement. The petitioner shall file the option statement within a period of one month from today. If the Taluk Land Board finds that the option statement filed by the petitioner can be accepted, those lands can be taken possession of. If the petitioner fails to file the option statement, as aforesaid, the lands directed to be taken possession of , as per the order dated 17.07.2001 passed by the Taluk Land Board shall be taken possession of.
