JUDGMENT
Petitioner who is stated to be working as Selection Grade Lecturer in Government College, Attingal, has a grievance that he is being denied grade promotion on completion of 25 years of service. Petitioner has raised various contentions and highlighted the illegality in excluding his name from the promotion list. Any how, I do not propose to deal with the above and other contentions at this stage in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner at the Bar. It is submitted that petitioner has preferred Ext.P4 representation before respondent No.1 highlighting all the relevant aspects of the issue. The limited prayer is to issue an appropriate direction to respondent No.1 to consider and pass orders on Ext.P4 without any delay. Learned Govt. Pleader submits that if Ext.P4 has been preferred as contended by the petitioner, an appropriate decision thereon will be taken without any further delay.
In the above facts and circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to consider and pass orders on Ext.P4 strictly on its merit and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Needless to mention that petitioner shall be afforded sufficient opportunity to be heard before

Petitioner shall produce a certified copy of this judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before respondent No.1 for compliance.
