The petitioner has been held guilty under Section 500 of Indian Penal Code and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of three months and to pay a fine of Rs.500/- and in default of payment of fine, to further undergo simple imprisonment for one month vide order dated 17th December, 1993 passed by the Judicial First Class Magistrate-I, Kozhikode. Aggrieved, petitioner filed an appeal which has been dismissed vide order dated 10th April, 1997 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Kozhikode. It is against these two orders that the present revision has been filed.
The Criminal Revision Petition is allowed as indicated above.
