“The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that in the captioned petition the petitioner sought for issuance of a writ to declare that the action of the fourth respondent directing the petitioner to pay the assessment of tax on the building and vacant area owned and possessed by it. Now the lis between the petitioner and the fourth respondent has been amicably settled. Hence, the above writ petition may be dismissed as infructuous by allowing this memo, in the interest of justice.”
