The learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents.

The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia , praying

that the respondent No.3 be directed to consider the representation dated 01.06.2026. The said representation has been filed, inter alia, seeking execution of the extended quarry lease.

The respondent No.3 had executed a quarry lease [CTA-551] on 12.05.2016, for extracting building stone. The said lease was for a period of five years and has since expired. By virtue of the amended Rule 8A(2) of the Karnataka Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1994, such leases are deemed to have been granted for a period of thirty years from the date of the original grant. Accordingly, the petitioner has applied for the said extension of the lease, which was granted.

The petitioner's grievance is that his lease has not been executed as yet. It is in this regard that the petitioner has made a representation.

The learned Government Advocate submits that the petitioner's representation would be considered and if there is any impediment to the execution of the lease deed, the same would be communicated to the petitioner.

In view of the statement made by the learned Government Advocate, no further orders are required to be passed on the present petition, except to direct that the respondents shall take necessary steps for consideration of the representation within a
