This petition is filed by the sole accused under

Section 483 of BNSS praying to grant bail in Crime No.491/2025 of Chandra Layout Police Station, registered for offences under Sections 109, 352 of BNS.

Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned HCGP for respondent/State.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the petitioner, complainant Sadiq Pasha and Mubarak are friends. The petitioner had taken the car of the complainant and its glass came to be damaged. In that regard there was a quarrel. In that quarrel the petitioner allegedly assaulted the complainant with hands and also with machete on his head. The complainant injured has

taken treatment as outpatient and thereafter filed the complaint. Injury sustained by the complainant is simple injury. Major portion of investigation is over. The petitioner is in custody since 08.12.2025. With this he prayed to allow the petition.

Per contra , learned HCGP for respondent/State would contend that the investigation is in progress. The offence alleged against the petitioner is a heinous offence. If the petitioner is granted bail, there are chances of him hampering the investigation and tampering the prosecution witnesses. The wound certificate indicates that the injured has sustained a deep lacerated wound on his left parietal region of head. With this, he prayed to reject the petition.

Having heard the learned counsels, the Court has perused the FIR, complaint and other materials placed on record.
