The writ petition is filed seeking the following relief:

a) To pass orders directing the court below to hear the case OS.No. 255 of 2023 titled U Divya Vs Murli M' expeditiously on day to day basis and to complete/conclude the proceedings by passing judgement and decree in the time period of three months. 'Annexure A’.

b) To call for the records in OS.No. 255 of 2023 and pass orders declaring that the Certificate of marriage registered as Doc No.HNR-HM2792022-23 contained in C.D No. HNRM16 dated 30-Aug-2022 is Null and Void and also to Grant Such other relief/s as this Honorable Court may deem fit to grant in the circumstances of the case in the interest of justice and equity.

The matter is pending before V Additional Prl. Judge, Family Court, Bangalore. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there shall be a direction to the court to dispose of the matter within three months.

The three Judge Bench of Hon’ble Apex Court has held that, unless and until compelling circumstances, the High Court cannot direct the trial courts to dispose of the matters out of turn. This matter is pending on the file of the V Addl. Prl Judge, Family Court, Bangalore where there are about 2,000 matters
