The petitioner sought quashing of the notification dated 09.04.2008, No. CI 649 SPQ 2007 (Annexure-A), issued by Respondent No.2, the Special Land Acquisition Officer, KIADB, insofar as it covered his land in Survey No.176/18, Bagaluru Village, Jaala Hobli, Bengaluru North (stated as 0.6 guntas in the prayer clause and 6 guntas in the body of the order), and restoration of the land or, alternatively, payment of market value with all statutory benefits. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking to quash the notification dated 09.04.2008 (Annexure-A) insofar as it relates to land measuring 6 guntas in Survey No.176/18 situated at Bagaluru Village, Jaala Hobli, Bengaluru North (for short 'the land') and consequently to direct the respondents either to restore the said land notified to the petitioner or, in the alternative to pay the market value as on the date with all statutory benefits.

The grievance of the petitioner is that though the subject land was included in the final notification, respondent No.2 had not perused an award in respect thereof and had issued an endorsement that no award has been passed.

Learned counsel appearing for respondent No.2 has filed a memo producing a copy of the award dated 26.11.2025, which has been approved on 04.12.2025.
