The present petition has been filed seeking to set aside the order at Annexure-L passed by the second respondent as well as setting aside of the order at Annexure-M which is an endorsement.

It is submitted that in the interregnum, the respondent authorities have rejected the application of the petitioner for issuance of Caste Certificate by order dated 09.07.2025.

The memo filed by the learned counsel for petitioner is taken on record. The memo reads as hereunder:

"The petitioner submits that the 2^nd respondent has passed an order on 09.07.2025 rejecting the claim of the petitioner. Hence, the top noted writ petition may not survive for consideration. Liberty

may be reserved to the petitioner to challenge the correctness of the order dated 09.07.2025 passed by the 2^nd respondent in the interest of justice."

As rightly pointed out by the petitioner, in light of rejection, the petitioner is entitled to file an appeal under Section 4B of the Karnataka Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Reservation of Appointment etc.,) Act, 1990 or file an application under Section 4F before the Deputy Commissioner.

Noticing such stand, the petition is disposed off as not calling for any further adjudication, reserving liberty to the petitioner to take appropriate proceedings as regards the order dated 09.07.2025. All contentions are kept open.
