Writ Petition No. 24104 of 2025 (KLR-RR/SUR) under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, decided on 22.09.2025 by Hon'ble Mr. Justice R Devdas, High Court of Karnataka at Bengaluru. Smt. Prabhavathi, aged about 81 years, sought a writ of mandamus directing the State revenue authorities (State of Karnataka, Special Deputy Commissioner, Bengaluru North Sub Division, Assistant Commissioner, Bengaluru North Division, and Special Tahsildar, K.R. Puram) to effect revenue entries in her name in view of the order passed in RRT (2)(E) CR:60/2000-2001 dated 27.01.2016 (Annexure-C) and by considering her representations dated 10.07.2025 (Annexure-D) and 17.07.2025 (Annexures-F and G). The learned High Court Government Pleader (Sri. V. Seshu) submitted that although the Special Deputy Commissioner had made arrangements for the mutation in the RTC considering the petitioner's representations, he had been transferred and a new incumbent was yet to occupy the post, and sought four weeks' time. Placing the submission on record, the Court disposed of the writ petition directing the 2nd respondent-Special Deputy Commissioner to pass necessary order to enter the petitioner's name in the RTC in terms of Annexure-C within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
