In this petition, petitioner seeks for the following relief:-

“Wherefore, the Petitioner most respectfully prays that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to quash the criminal case pending against the petitioner in FIR and further proceedings against the Petitioner in C.C.No.30333/2024 before the court of the XXXIX Addl. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru for the offences punishable under Section 61(2), 308(3), 308(6), 351(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 to serve the interest of justice and equity.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner – accused No.1 and learned counsel for 2^nd respondent – complainant have filed a Joint Memo dated 17.06.2025 duly signed by the petitioner, 2^nd respondent and their respective counsel and the same is taken on record.

Petitioner – accused No.1 and respondent No.2 – complainant and their respective counsel are physically present before the Court and they admit the contents of the aforesaid Joint Memo, which reads as under:-

“ We, Raghav Chary Venkatesh S/o Raghav Char, Aged about 51 years Residing at: NO. 23, Sun Ridge villa, Rajanakunte, Bengaluru North, Bengaluru City – 560 064, the Petitioner herein and Neha Yadav W/o Krishna Yadav, Aged about 27 years, Residing at : No. 1010, 1^st Floor, 2^nd Block, BDA Layout, 4^th Stage, BTM Layout, Bengaluru City – 560 076, the second respondent hrein, now do hereby jointly submit as follows;-

1. We submit that the First Respondent initiated criminal proceedings against the Petitioner in Cr.No.265/2024 registered in the H.S.R. Layout Police Station, Bangalore for the offences punishable under Sections 61(2), 308(3), 308(6) 351 (2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and on basis of the complaint the Charge sheet is filed in C.C.No.30333/2024 pending before the Court of XXXIX Addl.Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bangalore.

2. We submit we have amicably resolved all existing disputes and I have agreed to drop/ give up the impugned criminal proceedings as against the petitioner.

3. We submit that the Second Respondent has further agreed that in view of the settlement arrived, he has not objections for this Hon’ble Court to quash the impugned criminal proceedings in its entirety against the petitioner in the above petition.

WHEREFORE, it is most respectfully prayed that this Hon’ble Court be pleased to accept the above joint memo of settlement and quash the impugned criminal proceedings and to permit the compounding of the offences and quash the criminal case in C.C.No.30333/2024 pending before the

between the petitioner and 2^nd respondent, I pass the following:

(i) Petition is disposed of in terms of the Joint Memo dated 17.06.2025.

(ii) The proceedings in C.C.No.30333/2024 (arising out of Crime No.265/2024 of 1^st respondent – Police) registered for the offences punishable under Sections 61(2), 308(3), 308(6), 351(2) of BNS, 2023, pending on the file of XXXIX Addl.CMM, Bangalore, insofar as the petitioner is concerned are hereby quashed.
