Petitioners are seeking to quash the FIR in Crime

No.551/2024 registered at Whitefield Police Station,

Bengaluru City.

Complaint is lodged by one Annu Anna Suresh against accused No.1, a maid servant working in his house, suspecting her of committing theft of gold and diamond jewellary kept in a suitcase, in the house. Petitioners are not named as accused in the FIR. However,

it is the grievance of the petitioners that they are now

being arraigned as accused for no reason.

Admittedly, the charge sheet is not filed in this

case, arraigning the petitioners as accused. It is contended by the learned counsel that even though the Crime was registered on 15.08.2024, charge sheet is not filed so far.

When the petitioners are not shown as accused in the FIR, question of quashing the FIR does not arise. If charge sheet is filed, it is open for the petitioners to challenge the same, if there are no materials against them. Hence, the petition is dismissed .

Investigating Officer shall conclude the investigation at the earliest.
