ORAL JUDGMENT

The grievance of the petitioner before learned Single Judge that his case for promotion to the post of Forest Guard was not considered though juniors were promoted. Learned Single Judge directed the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner in accordance with law within stipulated time.

Today when the petition came up for consideration, figures on record, the affidavit of compliance dated 06.03.2025 in which respondent No.3-the Conservator of Forest, Mysuru Circle, Aranya Bhavan, Ashokapuram, Mysuru stated inter alia thus,

"..... the representation of the complainant has been considered and an Endorsement has been issued on 25.07.2024. According to the Endorsement, it is stated that the records have been examined and the said records reflects that the Complainant had been appointed on 10.05.1982 as a Dailywager. On 15.05.1992, the Complainant has completed ten years from the date of appointment and in view of the same, the Deputy Commissioner, Mysuru District, Mysuru have merged the Complainant as 'D' Group employee with minimum basic payscale of Rs.780-15-900-20-1040. Thereafter, the Deputy Conservator of Forest, Mysuru has recommended the Complainant for promotion from 'D' Group to Forest Watcher. Upon said recommendation, the

Complainant had appeared for the eligibility examination and has been promoted to the post of Forest Watcher. The Complainant has retired in the said post after obtaining an additional increment for having completed 30 years of service in the same post. The promotion given to the Complainant from 'D' Group to Forest Watcher is just and proper."

In view of the above, the directions of learned Single Judge

are complied with. Nothing survives in the present contempt petition, it is disposed of accordingly.
