By filing the present petition as public interest petition, the petitioner has prayed for direction to the respondents to fix the road-spots and repair the road between Karakyala village and Karakyala Cross, Aurad Taluka, Bidar District, by considering his representation dated 03.10.2023.

It is the case of the petitioner that Kushanura-Bawalagaon road is a District Highway of Bidar District. The District Highway passes through Karakyala village and Karakyala Cross of Aurad Taluka. The distance between Karakyala village and Karakyala Cross is stated to be only one kilometer.

It is the grievance that on the said road, there are innumerable road-spots which are causing serious hardship and inconvenience to the commuters. The petitioner stated that he made the representation dated 03.10.2023 to the respondents requesting them to fix the road-spots and to repair the road

bringing it into proper condition. The petitioner has stated that pursuant to the said representation, respondent No.2-the Chief Engineer, Public Works Department, directed respondent Nos.3 and 4 who are the Superintending Engineer and the Executive Engineer to take action in the matter. However, no action is taken and therefore, the present public interest petition is filed.

Having regard to the subject matter, the nature of grievance raised and the very kind of prayer made, no further relief can be granted to the petitioner except requiring the respondents to consider the representation made by him which is admittedly pending.

Accordingly, this petition is disposed of by directing the respondents-competent authorities to consider the representation

of the petitioner and take action as may be found necessary to redress the public grievance of the petitioner.
