The petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction by

issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for issuance of a passport in terms of his application.

Heard the learned counsel Sri.Mohammed Tahir, appearing for the petitioner and the learned Deputy Solicitor General of India, Sri.Shanthi Bhushan H., appearing for respondent No.1 and the learned Additional Government Advocate Sri.Rahul Cariappa K.S., appearing for respondent No.2.

The learned Deputy Solicitor General of India, Sri.Shanthi Bhushan H., on instructions and verification of the records would submit that there is no adverse entries made against the petitioner and therefore, there is no impediment for issuance of the passport.
