Learned counsel for the petitioner after addressing the arguments at length, seeks permission of the court to withdraw the petition as the trial in the matter has already

concluded and the same is listed for recording the statement of the accused under Section 313 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. It is brought to the notice of the court that there was a direction by this court vide order dated to conclude the trial expeditiously, atleast within 31.03.2024.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that subsequently there was extension of time by two months. However, the trial will be concluded by recording the statement of the accused and hearing the arguments. The trial court is again directed to expedite the matter and dispose of the same at the earliest as the accused is in judicial custody, atleast within six weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
