The petitioners are before this Court seeking the following

prayer:

"WHEREFORE, Petitioner prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to quash Cr. No.265/2013, of Subramanyapura Police Station, Bengaluru offence punishable under Sections 323, 324, 354, 504 and 506 R/W Section 34 of IPC against the petitioners, which is pending in C.C.No.9720/2013, before the II Addl. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Bengaluru in the interest of justice and equity"

Heard the learned counsel Sri.Arunkumar M.A., appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional State Public Prosecutor Sri.Jagadeesha B.N., appearing for respondent No.1.

The crime and C.C.No.9720/2013 is of the year 2013. Eleven years have passed by. The petitioners are now knocking at the doors of this Court contending that the crime so registered and the charge sheet so filed after the registration of the crime are all an abuse of the process of the law. There is no ground made out for interference at this juncture more so in

the light the fact that the matter is pending before the concerned Court for the last eleven years.

If the submission is that the trial is not yet

commenced, the trial Court shall endeavor to conclude the proceedings, within an outer limit of six months, from the date of receipt of the copy of this order, if not earlier.

With the aforesaid observations, the petition stands

disposed.
